The Metropolis Distribution Engine (MDE) is the set of softwareapplications and utilities that provides database replication andsychronization capabilities in support of Sales Synergy. Multiple remoteusers of client machines can perform database inquiry and manipulation,update shared account and opportunity profiles, and drive collaborativesales processes without a dedicated connection to the corporate databaseserver. Metropolis has a patent pending for the information-sharingcapabilities of the MDE. Sales Synergy makes use of the MDE's advanceddata distribution and sychronization features to ensure the consistencyof information shared by sales teams and the accuracy of informationconsolidated for management.
